Caldas is a department known worldwide for its tourist attractions, thanks to its volcanic wealth and its  natural thermal springs. Most of them are located near Manizales, capital of the department. In addition, this place is also  known for, among other attractions, for the abundance of "Piedras de  maní".

The department of Caldas is composed of thermal floors where the warm climate predominates,  but also has areas of páramor. These climates allow for a diverse thematic echo in vegetable species such as myrtle, yarumo  and  seven leathers; and birds,  among which hummingbirds are prominent.
